Proximate Chemical Composition of Dried Shrimp and Tilapia Waste Bioflocs Produced by Two Drying Methods

The effects of two waste sources, red hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) and whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), drying methods (freeze-drying oven-drying) on the proximate chemical composition bioflocs were investigated. In total, four kinds experimentally treated compared to identify best source method produce biofloc an acceptable nutrient value: freeze-dried (FDSBF), oven-dried (ODSBF), (FDTBF), (ODTBF). protein, lipid, ash, fiber, total nitrogen free extract (NFE), energy contents dried ranged from 12.12 24.09 g/100 g, 0.35 0.92 42.45 61.01 7.43 17.11 16.45 18.59 0.99 1.94 Kcal g?1, respectively. Although statistical analysis had levels minerals, contained potential AAs, energy, which are regarded as expensive ingredients aquaculture feeding. This study indicates derived can be a more suitable meal (in AAs) than waste. Our findings suggest freeze-drying is effective biofloc, it efficiently maintains nutritional quality.
